The Space Around Him

       This project started without much intention. I just found myself drawn to photographing men alone in public spaces. Sitting on benches, waiting for trains, walking with no clear destination. It wasn’t about loneliness in the obvious sense, but something quieter. Something in the stillness. The way they existed in the space around them. These images aren’t about the subjects being lonely. They’re about what those moments stirred in me. A kind of emotional distance. A pause. A brief glimpse into something more vulnerable. Something men are rarely allowed to show. The world can be a loud place. Sometimes the quieter frames say the most.
